David serves the Founding Member of Spectrum Financial Advisors. 

 

David was formerly with Wells Fargo Advisors since 1984 and received firm-wide recognition every year since 1997. David focuses on 401k retirement plans, endowments, foundations, non-profits and high net worth families.

 

While at Wells Fargo, David served as a Premier Advisor* and held the title of Managing Director – Investments, which is reserved for Financial Advisors at Wells Fargo who consistently demonstrated high ethical standards, achieve production criteria and maintain a strong commitment to client service excellence. During his career, David has been selected as one of the top 11 Financial Advisors in Tennessee by Research magazine** and one of the top 7 Financial Advisors in Tennessee by Barron’s magazine***.

David is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and served as President of the Davidson and Williamson County UT Alumni Association and was a member of the UT Board of Governors.  David also served as a member of the YMCA Y-CAP Board and Brentwood United Methodist Foundation Board.  He is a past graduate of Leadership Brentwood and Leadership Middle Tennessee and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Second Harvest Food Bank.

Jay resides in Brentwood, TN with his wife Alexis and their five children: Abigail, James, Wallace, Graves and Ellis.

A veteran of nonprofit leadership and fundraising, Jeff is known for his integrity, broad expertise, keen insight and accurate strategizing. He has been the guiding force behind Lighthouse Counsel since founding it in 1999.

As senior vice president of development for the YMCA of Middle Tennessee, he led one of the nation’s most successful YMCA fundraising programs. He also was senior managing director at Jerold Panas, Linzy & Partners.

Jeff began his fundraising career as executive director of the South Georgia Chapter of the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation, and then served as advancement director at Mount de Sales Academy.

Jeff is past president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Nashville Chapter and was recognized as their Fundraising Professional of the Year. Jeff is a member of the AFP Atlanta and Nashville chapters. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Nashville and the Sons of the American Revolution. Jeff is a graduate of Leadership Nashville and Leadership Middle Tennessee. He is a graduate of AFP’s Faculty Training Academy, and the AFP Executive Management and Leadership programs.

He is chair of the Phi Kappa Theta Foundation and past chair of the Board of Trust at UGA’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. He is a graduate of Leadership Nashville and Leadership Middle Tennessee. He was an executive committee member of UGA’s national alumni association for a decade.

Jeff was a multi-year member of the Fundraising Success (now Nonprofit Pro) Editorial Advisory Board and writes the popular Bedrocks & Beacons weekly blog for the publication. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, and holds a master’s degree in human resource management from Troy University.

With 35 years of public accounting experience,  Henry have been actively involved in providing audit, tax and consulting services to financial institutions and a wide variety of clients in other industries. Primarily specializing in individual, business and estate taxes.

Henry joined the firm of Stone, Rudolph and Henry, PLC in 1979, became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1982 and has been a partner since 1984. Henry currently works in the firm’s second location in Nashville, TN to extend their services to a growing market.

Mark Howard serves as Vice President for Highland Capital Brokerage– Southeast. He has 35 years of experience assisting families and business owners in planning for the ultimate transfer of their assets to loved ones and non-profit organizations. Mark specializes in the development of gifting strategies and the use of trust-owned life insurance as an alternative investment asset. He has a long and successful history of partnering with financial advisors, undertaking critical financial planning for their wealthy clients.

Prior to his role at Highland, Mark spent 20 years as a Wealth Structuring Specialist at Merrill Lynch. In this position, he assisted financial advisors and their high net worth clients construct estate plans using life insurance. Prior to that, Mark worked at Manulife Financial as an Advanced Case Consultant. In this role, he worked closely with investment advisors and their affluent clients.

Mark possesses a unique quality — the ability to develop personal connections with people of all backgrounds. This is crucial to understanding the client and capturing critical details necessary to offer proper planning advice. Mark is a strong team player who not only is knowledgeable in estate tax law, but also understands the vital roles that attorneys and accountants play in estate planning. He is careful to listen to the client so as to learn what is truly important concerning wealth and family. Mark’s expertise in this highly specialized area of financial planning has generated not only millions in life insurance revenue, but also new assets under management, enhanced client relationships, and quality referrals for the financial professionals with whom he partners.

Mark is life insurance licensed in most states and holds a Series 6 (Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Limited Representative), Series 7 (General Securities Representative), Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law), Series 65 (Uniform Investment Adviser Law), Series 9 and 10 (General Securities Sales Supervisor) licenses.
